Brian W. Collins founded Commonwealth with the strong conviction that a true partner could best help businesses achieve efficiencies in logistics and thus save money. That desire to be the best possible logistics partner is incorporated into every aspect of our company including our mission statement.
We strive to partner with our clients while creating and implementing cost-effective solutions to all of their logistical requirements.
As highly trained professionals we seek to achieve this through honesty, integrity, and dedication.
Our customers are why we’re here. Our service is the only product we sell. We do our best every day to provide the best possible level of service to all our customers. The adjectives used in our mission statement sum up what a logistics professional and true working partner should embody.
- Highly Trained management and operational support staff focused on safety and efficiency.
- Honesty and Integrity in every communication, action, intention, and decision.
- Dedication to the customer, to their customers, and to the overall success of the business.
Family Owned and Operated
Commonwealth prides itself on being family-owned and operated. The company was originally founded by cousins and is now being led by the second generation of the Collins family. But the “family” concept has grown in meaning throughout the years. Our turnover rate is incredibly low both in management and the warehouse support staff ranks. The average Commonwealth employee has been with the company for eight years.
- 60% have been with the company 5+ years
- 33% have been with the company 10+ years
- 15% have been with the company 20+ years
Teamwork for Exceptional Service
We believe this is a testament to the fact Commonwealth has fostered a great team mentality by treating our employees and our customers right. A key part of forging a long-term partnership is being able to actually partner with someone specifically – not a revolving door of temporary associates. All Commonwealth team members are full-time employees.
Our clients can trust our experienced team to do the job the right way the first time. Low turnover allows our team to gain a familiarity with the customer’s business. They know the products, know their customers, and know their individual needs. A warehouseman who is very familiar with a customer’s business is less likely to commit errors and more likely to correct any mistakes before orders ship. They can also leverage their broad experience in logistics to identify and implement cost-savings measures. The net result for our clients is a cost-effective, accurate, and reliable logistics solution.
